The tradition of painting here goes back to the dawn of civilization.
Evidences of earth colour drawings have been discovered on
the walls and ceilings of rock shelters along the rivers in
Eastern Rajasthan. Geometrical designs on clay potteries were
unearthed in Harappan sites of north western Rajasthan.
